Frequently Asked Questions

How is Emile Woolf Middle East different from other L&D providers in the region?

We’re a boutique enterprise learning partner that designs every programme around your strategy, starting with your organisation’s challenges, culture, and leadership context. That’s why clients like Mubadala, EY, and ADQ choose us over larger providers.

Do you offer off-the-shelf programmes?

No. Every engagement is bespoke. We start with a discovery conversation to understand your organisation, then design a programme around your specific governance, leadership, or capability goals. The only exception is our NEDA-accredited NED Certificate, which follows an internationally standardised curriculum — but even that is contextualised for the GCC.

What is NEDA and why does accreditation matter?

The Non-Executive Directors’ Association is the world’s leading professional body for board members. NEDA accreditation is the internationally recognised standard for NED competency. Emile Woolf Middle East is NEDA’s exclusive GCC delivery partner — the only provider in the Gulf authorised to deliver NEDA-accredited programmes.

Who are your programmes designed for?

Our clients are typically mid-to-large organisations across the GCC — sovereign wealth funds, government entities, energy groups, financial institutions, and professional services firms. Within those organisations, we work with CHROs, L&D directors, and C-suite leaders who are responsible for building leadership and governance capability.

How do you contextualise programmes for the GCC?

Our facilitators have deep GCC experience, and our content is built for the Gulf — covering UAE Corporate Governance Code, Saudi CMA regulations, GCC family business dynamics, Emiratisation requirements, and the cultural nuances of leading in this region.

What does a typical engagement look like?

It starts with a discovery conversation — usually 30 to 45 minutes — where we listen to your challenges and goals. From there, we propose a tailored approach: programme design, delivery format, facilitator selection, and measurement framework. Most programmes are delivered in-person across 2 to 5 days, with pre-work and post-programme reinforcement built in.

Do you deliver across the GCC or only in the UAE?

We deliver across all six GCC countries — UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Oman. Our base is in Abu Dhabi but we regularly deliver in Riyadh, Dubai, Doha, and Manama. For the NEDA NED Certificate, we also offer an online accreditation option accessible globally.
